The Panther Baseball team hosted visiting Coast Conference-North foe West Valley on Tuesday February 25th at Tony Teresa Diamond. The Vikings handed the Panthers a 5-2 loss. Eric Crouse made his season debut on the mound. He pitched two innings and gave up two runs on three hits. He gave the ball to Nolan Maldonado who pitched three innings and gave up one run on two hits. Garrett Poblick took the mound next and pitched a scoreless sixth inning. Ruben Gomez was touched up for two runs on three hits, with a walk and two strikeouts. Javier Rodriguez pitched a scoreless ninth. Offensively the Panthers had nine total hits, but couldnt capitalize on their opportunities leaving eight runners on base. Amier Bowen collected three hits, Tyler Triano added two with one being a double and Javier Rodriguez tripled. Nikko Crivello and Michael Vivo each had RBI scoring singles.
The Panthers (5-8) will next travel to Chabot on Thursday February 27th. Game time will be at 2 p.m.
