All-Time Performances for Carreras and Reimann at Home Meet
After a stellar meet at the Wildcat Cup the week prior, Aaliyah Carreras added her name to the all-time list at the longest sprint distance, the 400 meters and Isabella Reimann moved to third all-time in the discus throw. Carreras was victorious on her home track running 57.95, moving her into third fastest all-time. She is also now ranked second in Northern California trailing only Christina Trucks from Diablo Valley College. Carreras also won the 200 meters by over a full second in 25.62, her second time under 26 seconds this season. Reimann won the discus as the sun was setting over the Monterey Bay with a lifetime best 42.42m/139-2. The mark moves Reimann to tops in Northern California heading into April. She was also the winner of her final hammer contest at home in 47.66m/156-4.
Carreras would team up with Clodine Tabernilla, Roxana Ruelas, and Daisy Macias for the 4x100 relay victory in 50.04, the first anchor leg for Macias this season. Ruelas won the 400mLH in 69.53 and was third in the 400m (61.85). Tabernilla ran a lifetime best 13.09 in the 100 meters and 200 meters (27.46). Macias lowered her 400mLH time to 1:12.39. Marilyn Macias ran two lifetime best 13.48 and 28.04 over the same distances.
Sophomore distance duo Sofia Camacho and Andrea Villegas took the top two spots in the 1500 meters and 800 meters. Over the metric mile, Camacho took the win in 4:49.41 with Villegas 4:49.44, her first mark under 4:50 and the third fastest in the state. Villegas would take the 800 meters by 0.01 in 2:23.39 with Camacho 2:23.40. Camacho would add a 18:46.30 second place in the 5000 meters with Villegas under 19 minutes for the second time at 18:47.81.
Lorraine Mankins won her final triple jump competition on her home runway in 10.50m/34-5.50. Clodine Tabernilla lead in the long jump (4.55m/14-11.25) with Daisy Macias top Panther in the high jump (1.35m/4-5.00).
In the throws, Grace Padron eclipsed the 30 feet mark in the shot put to lead (9.43m/30-11.25). She also produced a season best in the discus (33.79m/110-10).
The Panthers will split squads between three locations in their next competition weekend. Some will compete at Buchanan High School (Clovis)/Fresno State, Modesto Junior College, and others San Francisco State University.
