Small Squad Fairs Well at Modesto
With a small squad in Modesto for the rescheduled Jack Albiani Invitational, the Panther women were able to attain several key personal bests heading into next week's dual meet with De Anza College and the upcoming Coast Conference Championship.
In the sprints, Marilyn Macias lowered her 100 meter best to 13.39. Daisy Macias recorded her first 200 meter mark of the season at 28.25 as she she preps for the Norcal Heptathlon Championship. Freshman Dominique Cervantes-Samudio ran an improved 63.56.
Jade Pimentel won her 800 meter heat in a personal best 2:43.19 with teammate Ana Martinez right behind in 2:44.70. Lapislazuli Hernandez ran 6:01.89 in the 1500 meters. Illianna Martinez lowered her 3000 meter steeplechase to 14:21.83 and her 5000m to 22:35.37.
Mercedes Rosales-Rivera lowered her 100 meter hurdles to 20.52. Zaira Hernandez lead in the hammer throw (30.09m/98-9.00)
The Panthers will compete next in the annual Hartnell vs De Anza "Duel" Meet on Wednesday, April 5th at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA.
