Aixa Crespo and Megan Flores commit to San Diego Christian College
Hartnell Volleyball duo of Megan Flores and Aixa Crespo have announced their commitment to continue their academic and athletic careers at San Diego Christian College next fall.
Megan Flores came to Hartnell College after prepping at King City High School. The 5-foot 9-inch started as an outside hitter during her freshman and sophomore seasons. During her 2019 season she accumulated 237 kills, 31 service aces, 283 digs, and 30 total blocks for the season. The Coast Conference North has Megan ranked 3rd overall for her total digs. Megan was selected to the Coast Conference North First Team All-Conference. She was also voted for the Best Offense award. In 2018 she was honored to the Hartnell College Dean's List for her academics. Megan is going to pursue a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, focusing on athletic training. At San Diego Christian College she will be playing volleyball (indoor) in the fall and putting her spikes on for the softball team in the spring.
Aixa Crespo came to Hartnell College from St. Scholastica Academy in Louisiana. The 5-foot 11-inch middle blocker was selected to the Coast Conference North First Team All-Conference during her freshman and sophomore seasons. This year she had 282 kills which ranked 1st in Coast Conference North play and lead the team with 326 overall. She had a .360 hitting percentage. She was voted team Most valuable Player for 2019 season. On campus she is the director of public relations for the ASHC and is a member of the Hartnell debate team. In 2018 she was honored to the Hartnell College Dean's list. Aixa plans to double major in communications and criminal justice.
"It is very rare that two teammates get to go to the same school, but Megan and Aixa really wanted this! We are very proud." Head Coach Jamie Pedroza said.
San Diego Christian is a member school of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and participates in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
