Bio

Freshman Year: Lauryn had a stellar freshman year finishing as the top Lady Panther at the CCCAA State Championship with her 30th place finish. Ranked already all-time on the Woodward Park, Orozco will return for 2018 as the top Northern California placer at the state championship. Lauryn saved her best races for the final two of the year, placing eighth at the Northern California Championsip to earn all-region honors. Orozco also picked up all-conference honors in her first season for the Panthers.

Prior to Hartnell: Competed at Soledad High School where she was a teammate of current Panther Yvette Tavarez. Lauryn qualified to the CCS Championship her final three years with a solid junior performance at Crystal Springs in 20:30. This past spring, she shined on the track lowering the Soledad High School 3200m record to 12:08.29. She was a CCS Trials qualifier in the 3200m as a junior.

"Lauryn really stepped up for the ladies at the conclusion of her first season. She improved tremendously as a cross country racer from high school matching her tenacity with consistent training. She's been to two state championships and learned how to race with some of the best women in the state. I'm excited for Lauryn's second year as we've begun to make the training changes to give her the best shot at a Norcal title and All-American honor."
