SALINAS – West Hills College Coalinga got the 2022-23 season off to a good start with a narrow 75-71 victory at Hartnell College in both teams' season-opener.

West Hills trailed 39-31 at halftime before rallying for the win, outscoring Hartnell (0-1) 44-32 over the final 20 minutes.

Freshman Supreme Niles led the Falcons with team-highs of 23 points and 9 assists. Sophomore Devion Edwards totaled 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 blocks while sophomore Elisee Ehuie added 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The Falcons are back in action on Tuesday (Nov. 8) when they host Cuesta College at 6 p.m. in their home opener.
