Freeman, Brown and Streeter Earn Region II All-California
The California Community College Football Coaches Athletics Association released their All-California Community College Football Region II Teams and the Hartnell Football team had three players selected.
Selected on the offense was sophomore Running Back David Freeman (Joppa, MD). Freeman rushed for 1,179 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught 25 passes for 417 yards and 3 touchdowns. Freeman led the California Community College Athletic Association in rushing yards per game with 117.9 which includes all the junior colleges in California.
Selected to the defense were freshman defensive lineman Robert Brown (Carmel, CA) and sophomore defensive back Jacob Streeter (Covington, GA). Brown tallied 45 total tackles, 28 solo, three forced fumbles and 13 sacks. Brown's 13 sacks were tied for 3rd in all of CCCAA. Streeter tallied 60 total tackles, 48 solo, and three interceptions. Streeter was asked to double his duty and played offense too. He added 12 receptions for 249 yards and three touchdowns.
All three players were named to the Golden Coast Conference First Team selections.
