Bio

Coach Edwards is entering his 2nd year on staff as the defensive backs coach. He graduated from Miami South Dade HS and went to Kansas Wesleyan University to play football. He transferred to Hartnell College in 2018. In 2019, he lost his season due to COVID. Since that time, Savion has moved into the workforce. He is currently working for Allied Universal Security Co. He has picked up the skills and knowledge to be a solid football coach after being mentored by another Hartnell Alum and successful football coach, Sunil Smith. Coach Edwards did a great job in 2021 coaching the secondary, which included 2-time All-State player Deonte Ferguson. We are excited to see the impact that Coach Edwards will have on his group of young men as we enter the 2023 season.
