Coach Campbell swam for the Salinas Y swim club for 10 years ( age 8 to 18 ). This includes about 6 years with Bob Enea as my coach ( who is also now at Hartnell ). He swam 4 years for Salinas High School and then 2 years for Hartnell College. While at Hartnell Coach Campbell participated in the State meet for junior colleges in 3 events each year. He then swam 1 year for Chico State. Upon joining the California Highway Patrol he learned there about the statewide Police and Fire games which he has participated in for just over 30 years. Coach Campbell was fortunate to be inducted into Hartnell's athletic Hall of Fame in 2019 and began coaching for Hartnell as an assistant in 2020. You can still find Coach Campbell working on his swimming in a lane at Hartnell daily.
