Bio

This will be Andrew Asuncion's first year coaching at Hartnell College. He will oversee all the horizontal jumps along with the high jump. Prior to Hartnell College, Andrew has been the jumps coach at his high school alma mater North Salinas. He coached at North Salinas High School from 2014 through 2018 where he guided numerous Central Coast Section qualifiers and finalists. He produced two Monterey Bay League boy's triple jump champions and runner-up finish in the girl's and boy's long jump. 

As an athlete, Andrew attended McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. He was a four time all-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference performer in the indoor and outdoor long and triple jumps. He's mark of 46 feet is still in the top 10 all-time for McPherson College. Andrew graduated from McPherson College with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education/Health. 

Prior to McPherson College, Andrew competed for the Panthers and was a two time Northern California qualifier in the triple jump. He has a personal best of 43'11" while at Hartnell College. Andrew graduated from North Salinas High school and he's currently a Store Supervisor for Dick's Sporting Goods in Salinas.
