Bio

2015-2016 Andrew ran his fastest race of his freshman campaign at the Lou Vasquez Invitational (22:08). He did earn All-Coast Conference honors with his 12th place finish in the championship race. An alternate on the state championship team, Andrew ran a solid 21:19 time trial on the track at the conclusion of his first cross country season.

Around the oval in the spring, Andrew showed tremendous range exceling in events from 1500 meters through 10,000 meters. He was the Coast Conference 3000 meter steeplechase champion in his first year and placed 7th at the Northern California Championship. He also qualified in the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters placing 9th and 12th respectively. He will return in spring 2017 as one of the top returners in multiple events. He finished his freshman spring with personal bests at 1500 (4:08), 3000 (9:09), 5000 (15:36), 10,000 (33:05) and 3k steeplechase (10:07).

Prior to Hartnell:
Andrew is another of Soledad High School newcomers. A former football player and wrestler, Andrew trasnformed himself into a runner his final two years of high school earning back to back trips to the CIF CCS Championship.

"Andrew has been amazing since joining our team. He's willing to train up to the faster guys and his performances are improving quickly. Andrew will contend for an all-region top 14 spot as a sophomore after having been our alternate last year."
