Lowi Coast Conference Player of the Year and Molina Freshman of the Year
The Coast Conference has released its 2019 All-Conference selections and the Women's Soccer team had plenty honored including the Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.
Freshman Carly Lowi (Hollister CA, San Benito HS) was selected as the Conference Player of the Year. She led the team with 18 goals, 14 assists and 50 points. Lowi's points ranked 11th and her assists were 6th amongst all CCCAA players in the state.
Sophomore's Julissa Quintana (Watsonville CA, Pajaro Valley HS), Jada Ware (Pacific Grove CA, Pacific Grove HS), Lexandra Retamoza (Salinas CA, Everett Alzarez HS) and Freshman Mayvene Molina (Hollister CA, San Benito HS) were named First Team All-Conference.
Quintana scored five goals, three assists and 13 points. Ware scored 3 goals, an assist and seven points. Retamoza the teams goalkeeper had 65 saves for a .812 save percentage along with four shutouts this season.
Molina was named Freshman of the Year. She was second on the team with 11 goals scored, four assists and 26 points.
Fabiola Pacheco (Greenfield CA, Greenfield HS), Alex Mendoza (Hollister CA, San Benito HS), and Jada Taylor (Hollister CA, San Benito HS) garnered 2nd Team Honors.
The #9 seeded Women's Soccer team qualified for the playoffs and lost to #8 City College of San Francisco 1-0 in the First Round of the CCCAA State Playoffs. They finished their season with an overall record of 10-6-7.
