Bio

Coach Ivan is entering his 11th season incharge of the Hartnell Women's Soccer program. He was born on August 2, 1984 in Mexico City, and  moved to Salinas, CA at the age of 5. A 2002 graduate from Everett Alvarez High School in Salinas, who then attended and played two years at Hartnell College under coach Alex Golomeic. After two years at Hartnell, Coach Ivan transferred to CSU Northridge were he graduated from in 2006.

Prior to becoming the Head Women’s Soccer coach he was part El Camino Real Futbol Club, where he coached U15-19 boys teams and was Vice President for the club for two years.  He joined Hartnell as an Assistant Coach for the men’s program under Coach Daniel Ortega (2009-2010). After two years with the men’s program he became the Hartnell Women’s soccer team Head Coach at the start of 2011 season.

Coach Ivan currently resides Salinas, CA with wife Veronica and two children, Alexander (born 3/21/10) and Maximiliano (born 9/9/13).

  • MA in Sport Management with Certificate in Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire University ‘13
  • BS in Business Administration from CSU Northridge ‘06
  • AA in General Studies from Hartnell College ‘04.
