The FLC volleyball team had hoped to be practicing during Thanksgiving in preparation for a round 2 playoff match on Saturday, but those plans were dashed on Tuesday night when the Falcons lost at Hartnell, 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-16). The Falcons won a very close first set and were in striking distance in both the second and third sets, but couldn't pull out a win. Freshman Abby Seabury had a notable all-around game with 13 kills, 8 digs, 7 assists, and 2 blocks. Sophomore Mikayla Ide and freshman Mackenzie Natusch both recorded 9 kills and 5 digs, and sophomore floor captain Kendall Hughes had 25 assists, 10 digs, and 6 kills.
The Falcons finish their season at 16-12, a definite step up from last year, and appear to have the foundation of freshman to make an impact in 2023.
