The Panthers Baseball team dropped their game on Friday and Saturday games to visiting American River.

On Friday, the Panthers gave up to many early runs and played catch up for the rest of the game scoring a run in the 6th and 7th inning and adding three more in the 9th inning to drop their contest 9-5. Offensively, TJ L'Hommedieu went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Michael Vivo went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, Ruben Gomez went 2 for 4 and Diego Fisher went 2 for 5 with two runs scored. Nolan Maldonado got the start on the mound and went 3 and 2/3 innings, giving up 5 runs, on four hits, walked five and struck out four. Carson Cox, Wyatt Hankard, and Garrett Poblick pitched in relief.

 

On Saturday, the Panthers pitched well enough to win, they just couldnt capitalize on opportunities to drop their game 3-1. The Beavers scored two runs in the top of the 1st and added another run in the 4th. The Panthers were only able to push a run across in the 7th inning. Tyler Triano, Michael Vivo, Chris Wright, and TJ L'Hommedieu each had a hit. Vivo hit a double in the 8th. Ryan Rivera got the the start and pitched five innings, gave up three runs, five walks and two strike outs. Javier Rodriguez pitched three innings, walking two and striking out two. Ruben Gomez pitched a scoreless 9th.

The Panthers (3-3) will host Fresno City on Tuesday Feb. 11th and Wednesday Feb. 12th. Both games will start at 2 p.m.
