Triano and Fisher commit to Kansas Wesleyan University
Congratulations to Tyler Triano and Diego Fisher for committing to continue their academic and athletic careers at Kansas Wesleyan University.
Triano prepped at San Benito HS and played one season at Cal-State Monterey Bay before joining the Panthers. While only getting a chance to play one season for the Panthers in a shortened COVID spring season, he made an impact. Mostly hitting out of the lead off spot and handling the catching position he played in 12 games, tallied 41 at bats, 17 hits, scored 11 runs, four doubles, a triple, a HR, five RBIs five stolen bases, and a hitting average of .415. Triano also made his way on the mound. He started two games, pitched six innings, gave up seven hits, three runs, a walk and struck out three.
Fisher also prepped at San Benito HS and joined his high school teammate again with the Panthers. He was one of our main outfielders as he saw most of his action in left field. Fisher also had only one season as a Panther. He started in 20 games, tallied 74 at bats, led the team with 23 runs 30 hits and 14 walks. He added seven doubles, a triple, three stolen bases with 11 RBIs and a hitting average of .405. He also made one appearance on the mound and pithed a scoreless inning.
The two will enroll at KWU and join the team for their 2021 season.
Go Panthers!
