Week 6: Panther Football Alumni Rundown
Davon Ferguson - Jr. - Safety - University of Kansas - The Jayhawks hit the road to take on West Virginia University falling to the Minutemen 38-17. Ferguson led the team with 9 tackles, seven solo and two assisted. The Jayhawks will next take on their in state rival Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday October 24th at 11 a.m. CST. The game will be televised on FS1.
Santo DeFranco - Jr. Offensive Lineman - Mercer Univeristy - DeFranco and the Bears kicked-off their 2020 season falling to Jacksonville State 34-28. DeFranco started at right takle. The Mercer squad will travel to take on Army West Point Saturday October 24th at 12 p.m.
Isaiah Randalle - Jr. - Quarterback - Kansas Wesleyan University - Randalle picked up his second KCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors in their 42-6 victory on October 11th. He completed 20 of 26 passes for 339 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for another score. This past week the #6 ranked Coyotes were stunned by Southwestern College 42-21. Randalle completed 24 of 37 passes for 372 yards and a touchdown. The Coyotes will host Avila University Saturday October 24th. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. CST.
Juan Herrera - Sr. - Kicker/Punter - Kansas Wesleyan University - Herrera had two punts in their loss to Southwestern College. He averaged 38 yards a punt. He also kicked off twice for an average of 62 yards and a touchback. The Coyotes will host Avila University Saturday October 24th. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. CST.
Taji Jones-Counts - Jr. - Offensive Lineman - Southwestern College - The Moundbuilders upset Kansas Wesleyan University 42-21. They will be on the field this weekend as they take on Saint Mary Saturday October 24th at 1 p.m. PST.
Cameron Walker - Sr. - Wide Receiver - Friends University - The Falcons won their contest against Sterling College 56-21. They will be idle for the next two weeks.
