Men’s Soccer Highlight! All American Athletes Awarded at NSCAA
On January 16, 2017, Hartnell College Men's Soccer Head Coach Daniel Ortega, returned from the five-day National Soccer Coaches Association of America(NSCAA) National Convention in Los Angeles with a big smile and sense of pride. Studentathletes Willy Miranda and Javier Alfaro received All-American Awards and team honors during the convention. Studentathlete Willy Miranda is the first freshmen to earn first team honors as well as the All- American Award in Hartnell's history. Sophomore Javier Alfaro, received second team honors and All-American Award. This convention hosted more than 11,000 attendees, among which 6,300 were soccer coaches from all levels of the sport. There were about 250 educational speakers, panels, spotlight sessions, and live field demonstrations facilitated by some of the most successful coaches, players and player development experts in the country and the world. We are extremely proud of our student-athlete accomplishments. Congratulations!
