Bio

2015-2016 Edgar's first season for Hartnell was capped with all-region and CCCAA all-american honors. He will return as a sophomore as one of the leading contenders for the overall state title. His 20:35 at Toro Park is one of the best in school history and ties the fastest for a freshman. Edgar was the Coast Conference Champion at Crystal Springs and has the opportunity to repeat his title as a sophomore.

The track season did not goes as well as the fall but was highlighted by a 4:00 1500 and 1:59 800 meter double at the Maurice Compton Invitational. Edgar battled hamstring issues during the season but still recorded a 15:24 for 5000 meters and 32:55 for 10,000 meters. A triple event qualifier to the Northern California Championship, Edgar also scored points for the Panthers at 800, 1500, 5000, and 10,000 meters at the Coast Conference Championship.

Prior to Hartnell: Edgar comes in as one of the most accomplished high school runners in school history. He was the MTAL individual champion as a junior and senior along with earning CIF All-State honors for back to back top 10 finishes at the Division IV championship race. He helped lead his King City Mustangs to a team runner-up finish in 2015.

"Edgar has an excellent chance to be a state champion this fall. He's willing to do the miles and is seeing that his teammates can help him do some of the work that could push him into that top position. I'm excited to see what he can accomplish in his second season after an all-american freshman year."
