Bio

Freshman Year: Jaime posted a season best 21:47 for four miles at the Lou Vasquez Invitational during a season that saw him place 17th overall at the Coast Conference Championship. He was part of a freshman group that dominated the top 20 at the conference championship. In the spring, Jaime enjoyed his best track seasson posting lifetime bests 4:13, 16:01, 33:37 and qualifed to the Northern California Championship in both the 5000 and 10,000 meters.

Prior to Hartnell: Jaime switched athletic careers mid-way through high school from football to running at Greenfield High School. That switch lead him to the first ever Mission Trail Athletic League team title for the Bruins and a first ever trip to the CIF State Championship his senior year. He finished 3rd overall as a senior at the MTAL Championship and 10th overall at the CCS D4 Championship. He brings in Toro Park, Crystal Springs, and Woodward Park bests of 16:23, 16:09, and 16:51.

Still learning to race the oval, Jaime has modest personal bests of 2:10, 4:47, 10:27.

"Jaime is finally putting together all the tools it takes to be a great runner. He's a great competitor but his first year he was able to put together a solid nine months of training. That paid off learning how to run all distances from the 1500 to 10,000 meters. His cross country season should be one to watch he now has these weapons on his belt."
