Freshman Track Season: Jacob joined the Panthers in the spring and quickly improved his lifetime bests to 4:09, 9:29, and 16:28. A Norcal Championship qualifier at 1500 meters, Jacob will be one of the top returners at that distance in Spring 2018.

Prior to Hartnell: Like his Aptos HS teammate Patrick Olson, Jacob joined the Panthers mid-year after one season off from competition. At Aptos HS, he was a member of the CCS cross country champion team. He brings personal bests of 2:01 and 4:30 from high school.

"Jacob started the track season on a roll but without a fall base hit a bump that slowed his progress. He did begin the process of learning how to train better aerobically. If he can follow the footsteps of his teammates, the spring he's gonna be one of the best 1500/5k guys in the state."
