Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Julian competed for the  Bruins of Greenfield High School were he was consistently one of the top runners all three years. He was instrumental in the team's winning the Mission Trail Athletic League and placing second at the CCS Championship. Julian's team were the first for Greenfield High School to represent their school at the CIF State Championship. Julian improved from 10th at the MTAL Championship as a junior to 5th overall as senior. A two-time top 10 CCS finisher, Julian ran three times at Woodward Park all under 17:00 minutes.

"Although we didn't see Julian this summer and he developed some IT band issues, he's the type of runner who can immediately step in and contribute. We will focus on bringing him along slowly but given what he ran at Woodward Park in high school at state, he's more than capable of dropping a 21:20 type of mark come November 23rd."
