Prior to Hartnell: Erick competed for three years at North Monterey County High School under Coach Gus Ibarra. His senior year he was named Condor the Year for his contributions to the athletic programs at NMCHS>

"Erick is starting late for us so we might use this year to learn how to change his schedule to a collegiate one and focus on being better prepared for competition in 2020. He's shown great enthusiasm attending practices just needs the time to get in better shape than he was in high school.
