Hartnell College sophomore Jesse Blanco was named the Week #12 Northern Region Runner of the Week by the California Community College Cross Country Track Coaches Association (5CTCA). Blanco won the Northern California title last Friday at Toro Park with a winning time of 20:23. He was the victor by 27 seconds and produced the seventh best make in Toro Park history. Blanco has had a breakout fall winning the Butte College Invitational, Coast Conference Championship, and Northern California title. He will head to his second 3C2A State Championship in hopes of earning top 14 All-American honors and contend for the overall individual title.
