Bio

2015-2016: Adriana adapted quickly to collegiate training and ran every race her freshmen year in the 20 minute range. Her best races came at the Mt. SAC Invitational where she narrowly missed breaking 20:00 and again at the Coast Conference Championship where she placed seventh overall. Her placing makes her the second best returner going into her final season for the Panthers. Adriana represented the Lady Panthers at the Northern CA Championship helping the team to a repeat regional title.

In track, Adriana recorded a personal best over 800m (2:25.46) while gaining experience at all distances from 1500m through the 5000m. She found the 3000m steeplechase to her liking placing fourth at the Northern CA Championship and earned a trip to the CCCAA State Championship in her first year. Adriana will be the #2 returner in Northern CA heading into her second spring season.

Prior to Hartnell:
Adriana only competed in one season of cross country as a senior at Greenfield High School but made it count with a 21:46 personal best at Toro Park. She helped the Lady Bruins repeat as the Mission Trails Athletic League team champions.

"Adriana had a very good first season that saw her get tons of great racing experience and develop her cross country confidence. She's much better than she may give herself credit for so it will be exciting to see if she can breakthrough and join the upper elite in the region. Ultimately, she's working toward the fitness that can help her break 12:00 in the spring in the steeplechase and return to the state meet."
