Bio

Freshman Year: Arlene had an outstanding return to the sport after nearly a decade away. A consistent weekly top performer, she placed fourth at the Northern California Championship earning All-Region honors. Her finish lead five Lady Panthers inside the top eleven and the lowest team score in regional championship history. Arlene was the Coast Conference champion. She also posted an outstanding early season mark of 19:47 at Woodward Park to place in the top 14 at the Fresno Invitational.

Prior to Hartnell: Has been a student at Hartnell College since 2010. Began serious training on her own the last two years while living in Mexico. Was a dancer and cheerleader for Hartnell College as a freshman out of high school.

"A surprise in 2017, Arlene now is a ready to a force in 2018. She returns for redemption this fall after a near-perfect first season. Arlene has shown All-American potential and is a great racer. There's not many women at our level out there doing the things she is doing to compete and at a high level. She manages all the stresses of a being a mom and student outstandingly and is ready for a great season. She's part of a returning group that I knew would be amazing for their second year and now we just have the races to run to prove it."
