Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Shantal was a member of the Notre Dame (Salinas) team that finished second at the Salinas City Championship, second in CCS Division IV, and advanced to the CIF State Championship. She was the seventh place finisher in her CCS race running 19:55 at Crystal Spring. She brings to Hartnell a 20:12 Woodward Park personal best.

"Shantal was a late addition to the roster after returning from NCAA DII Ohio Valley University. I was extremely impressed with her competitiveness in high school and we are very lucky she's returned to the area and chosen Hartnell to continue her career. Shantal has seen she can learn from the outstanding crew we have this year and then look to lead the team in fall 2019 and challenge for the overall Norcal title and All-American honors. She will also add great training energy to the group for the fall and help make the team better for the end of the season."
