2015-2016 Zack missed most of his freshman year due to injury. He did get to race at the Beat the Heat race in Eureka. Zack did regain some fitness after the
conference championship but did not compete.

On the track, Zack showed why he did well in high school around the oval. He ran a personal best for 800 meters (2:00) at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. Zack scored points in the 800 meters at the Coast Conference Championship helping the Panthers to another team title. He finished his first track season with bests at 1500 (4:17), 3000 (9:33), and 5000 (17:03) meters.

Prior to Hartnell: Zack enjoyed his best season of crossc country as a senior placing in the top 5 in the Pacific Division of the Monterey Bay League. He gained valuable championship experience competing in his two CIF CCS championships once as a sophomore and again as a senior.

"I have high hopes for Zack for his final fall cross country after his first season was filled with a lot of lessons what to do differently. His followed a better plan and should perform very well given his strength and high lactate ability."
