Bio
Prior to Hartnell: A four year athlete at Salinas High School, Alfredo improved steadily in cross country. He capped his senior year with a fourth place finish at the Salinas City Championship and solid 16:48 over the Woodward Park 5k layout at the Clovis Invitational. On the track, Alfredo qualified to the CCS Championship his final two years. As a senior, he competed in both the 1600 and 3200 meters. He brings to Hartnell personal bests of 2:05, 4:33, 9:54.
"I think Alfredo has the drive and passion to surprise not just the region but the state in just his first season. He was the guy I would see training on his own in the off seasons and I knew I wanted him to be a Panther. He has the tools to follow in the footsteps of our previous guys who have gone from relative unknown to some of the best in the nation."
