Bio

2015-2016: Beatriz joined the Panther late in the summer of her freshmen year but welcomed the challenge of joing one of the best teams in the state. She enjoyed a solid improvement at Toro Park lowering personal best to 21:20 officially and 20:58 unofficially in the Norcal "overflow" race. Beatriz earned all-conference honors with her 14th place finish running a personal best 21:05 at Crystal Springs.

During the spring track season, Beatriz built on her fall season successes running an outstanding 19:36.69 for 5000m and 41:52.82 for 10,000m. Both times earned her berths to the Northern CA Championship where she placed 11th and 13th respectively.

Prior to Hartnell: Beatriz comes to Hartnell via Watsonville High School where enjoyed a solid three year career. With a best at Toro Park of 22:39 she will undoutedbly improve dramactically her first year.

"Beatriz, or B as I call her, is coming on strong each week. She sees that her daily effort to run with her fellow teammates should allow her to race just as fast and she's taking huge chunks off her personal bests. B is part of our future so I'm excited to see how much she can learn in this first fall."
