Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Yvette comes from a relatively new program at Soledad High School and worked her way up from student manager to a state meet qualifier in cross country. In just two years of running, Yvette lowered her personal best at Toro Park to 20:12 and 19:42 at Crystal Springs. She became the school's first female runner to compete in the state championship where she just missed breaking 20:00 in the D4 championship race.

On the track, Yvette's physical strenght is even more evident as she ran 5:30 for 1600 meters. As a senior, she made the CCS Semi-Finals in the 1600 meters where she placed 29th overall.

"Yvette is by the far the most raw runner we have but has never been completely healthy through a whole season. Our primary goal is to keep her healthy so we can build outward on the times she's already run. There's no reason why she can't become one of our best in history."
