Prior to Hartnell: Mariah comes to Hartnell from the strong San Benito High School program where she was consistently one of the top Baler ladies. She finished as high as eleventh overall at the MBL Championship as a junior and competed in four CCS championship races. Mariah also competed twice at the Clovis Invitational.

"Mariah has shown great dedication and work ethic this summer. I know she desparately want to get back to the form she exhibited her first two years of high school but I know that will happen quickly in our program and give her much of the season to exceed that abiilty. She's got great championship race experience and with two runs over the 5km course at Woodward Park in her bank, she already brings experience that will be instrumental to our team success this fall. I love her energy and enthusiasm for running which has complemented our sophomores nicely this summer. We were very lucky Mariah chose to continue her career at Hartnell."
