Bio
Freshman Year: Played soccer for the Hartnell women's team. In the spring, ran track for the Panthers where she set lifetime bests for the 1600 and 3200 meters. She also broke 22:00 for 5000m at the Coast Conference Championship.
Prior to Hartnell: Competed in cross country for two years for Everett Alvarez High School. Qualfied to CCS Championship her senior year where she placed 129th overall. She also competed for two years in track & field reaching the MBL Gabilan Trials and Finals.
"Lorena dedicated her summer to training with the other sophomores. She has great drive and is willing to put in the effort daily. Lorena is still trying to make up for having only run two years in high school and sitting out last fall, but I've seen great progress and we've already helped her surpass some her lifetime track bests. As a sophomore, we will try and send her off with an all-conference honor and team championship. It will be up to her and staying healthy to try for a top 7 spot for regional and state."
